Our Mission

The Burn Foundation of Central New York is a non-profit, 100% volunteer-based organization committed to burn support, awareness, and prevention. We are your friends and neighbors from a wide range of backgrounds, including doctors and nurses, occupational therapists, professional and volunteer firefighters, emergency responders, lawyers, educators, and communications professionals, among many others. We understand the physical, emotional, and financial challenges faced by burn survivors and their families. We aim to make that recovery process a little bit easier, and to work toward ensuring other families never have to follow in those footsteps. We're here because we care.

Our Story

Fires are tragic. Something no one wants to experience. Life changing. And just imagine how much more significant that is for a child. Kids have enough to worry about without the added pressure dealing with burn injuries.

We understand the physical, emotional and financial challenges faced by burn survivors and their families. And we’re working to make their recovery process a bit easier.
